We pray, “Jesus, I want more of you.” We even adopt John the Baptist’s words to express that desire: “Jesus, You must increase, I must decrease” (John 3:30). We mean well, but we don’t always mean it. Why? Because we instinctively know that MORE of JESUS means LESS of ME.
In these messages, we see how this simple prayer is fulfilled in our lives. At the end of His ministry, Jesus is preparing the disciples for life without Him and He makes an amazing promise to His followers. His plan is to FILL US with the Holy Spirit, but this is not a passive endeavor. We are active participants in the Spirit’s work in, and through, our lives.
