Christmas offers us a season to listen. God may be calling us to recalibrate our heart and reset our destination. Over the next few weeks, we want to help you see beyond the holiday traditions and familiar stories to embrace Jesus - the Messiah - the gift God sent into the trouble and darkness and difficulty of our lives. Jesus offers us perfect guidance and direction.
Seven hundred years before the Holy Night and the humble manger, the prophet Isaiah used four compound names to describe the Messiah to come (Isaiah 9:2, 6-7).
- Wonderful Counselor
- Mighty God
- Everlasting Father
- Prince of Peace
Each week we will look at these names, one at a time, through our four Sundays of Advent.
