Grace or truth…? Or is it, grace AND truth? Jesus lived in the perfect balance of grace and truth. In fact, John describes Jesus this way: “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). If we are to live and love like Jesus, we must also strike this balance. If we want people to see Jesus in us, we must be “full of grace and truth.” These are the measure of, and they become what we are known for, as followers of Christ.
