Worth the Cost

Jesus closes His instructions to the Twelve with a call to courageous, wholehearted allegiance. Following Jesus means refusing to be ruled by fear, trusting the Father who knows and values us, and choosing loyalty to Christ above every competing allegiance. In Matthew 10:26–42, Jesus reminds His disciples that the cost of following Him is real—but so is the promise that nothing surrendered for His Kingdom is ever wasted.
