Sent by the King

Jesus doesn’t just call His apprentices to be with Him—He sends them to join Him in His work. In Matthew 10:1–15, Jesus gives the twelve His authority, sends them to proclaim that the Kingdom has come near, and teaches them to depend on God along the way. Following Jesus means more than receiving from the King. We are invited to participate in His mission.
