Lead Pastors – Jeff & Gina Schexneider
Pastor Jeff & Gina are both graduates of Central Bible College in Springfield, MO. During their 30+ years of ministry together, the Schexneiders have served in a variety of churches, ranging in size and leadership styles. Pastor Jeff and Gina are both credentialed ministers with the Assemblies of God and approach ministry as a team.
While Gina primarily grew up in Ohio, Pastor Jeff grew up in Louisiana. Gina was raised in a pastor’s home and has the unique perspective of ministry from both sides of the pulpit. (Her father has retired after 50+ years of ministry, including 31 years of service as pastor of Akron First Assembly of God.) Pastor Jeff’s parents were very involved in the lay ministries of their church. This upbringing, and their ministerial experience, give Pastor Jeff & Gina a balanced perspective regarding the joys and struggles of serving in church leadership.
Pastor Jeff & Gina have two children. Their son, Trevor, is a graduate of Southwestern Assemblies of God University (Waxahachie, TX) and has earned his Master of Divinity there. He and his wife, Christine, are Youth Pastors at Highland Meadows Church in Texas and are pregnant with their first child. Their daughter, Amanda, is a graduate of North Central University (Minneapolis, MN) and is married to Tyler. She is serving as a Children’s Pastor in Minnesota.
“Through the years, we have experienced the mountaintops and valleys of pastoral ministry. We are thankful that God has called us and His anointing has sustained us. We are also grateful that God has allowed us to see the fruit of faithful ministry. We never could have imagined the places that God would take us or the ways that He would use us. It has been a great privilege to be a part of people’s lives. We count it an honor to serve God and His church at Calvary.
“We have a passion for more of God and we understand the importance of prayer, Spirit-led worship, and the Word. These are non-negotiable elements that must be incorporated into every ministry of the church if we are to fulfill our call and mission. We believe the promise of Scripture that says, “God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). He has great things in store for those whose hearts are fully committed to Him!
“We serve a church that is growing with us and that has become our extended family. This has required dedication and long-term commitment, and with God’s help, we want to continue to see Calvary become the Church that He longs for and that this world needs.”
Associate Pastor/Counselor – Debby Green
Debby is an important part of our ministry team and her counseling practice, Transformation Christian Counseling, provides Christian counseling to individuals from the church and from the community. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), as well as a Licensed Minister with the Assemblies of God.
As a long-time member of Calvary, Debby has served the church in a variety of roles, including: discipleship coordinator, Junior Bible Quiz coach, keyboard player on the worship team and LiFE Study teacher.
A single parent, Debby has one daughter, Stephanie, who is married and lives in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Her daughter teaches at a local community college and has two sons, Carson & Dane.
Debby is blind, but has not let that stop her from enjoying life to the full. “I believe that we should never stop growing. God has a great plan for our lives and as we seek Him, we will discover that plan and become the person He wants us to be. With God as our future, our best days are always ahead of us!” Consequentially, she believes that the most important thing in life is our relationship to God. “As our relationship with God grows, every other area of our lives is impacted, especially relationships with other people. I am happy to be a part of encouraging others to grow in their relationship with Jesus through the ministry of Transformation Christian Counseling!”
